This hologram table is part of a big school project that I and my teammate, Jérémie Lalancette, are working on. Our project consists of a cargo ship lost in orbit, where the crew got killed by an alien that escaped from the cargo area. The ship has been abandoned for a very long time, with the alien still roaming. The project will only consist of the cargo area that's connected to the cockpit.
For the table, I had a lot of fun inside 3ds Max doing the whole of the table, except for the tubes that I did in Blender. I afterward went into Substance Painter to apply the texture. I put the final modeling result in Unreal Engine 4, where I did the emissive materials and the same for the holograms. All the alpha writings and icons applied to the texture were made in Photoshop. The upper part is connected to the ceiling of the ship.
